About

Jean Disset is a postdoctoral research associate in The Mediated Matter group. He holds a PhD from the University of Toulouse, France. With a background in artificial intelligence and artificial life, his research revolves around the simulation of complex self-organizing systems and structures. He is particularly interested in simulating living systems, both as they are and how they could be, and he has been focusing on cell physics and the emergence of morphology in developing cell populations through artificial gene regulatory networks models combined with evolutionary computations.
